About Us
Bri's Swim Academy is a private backyard swim school located in Aurora, ON. We offer swim instruction every summer from the end of June to the end of August.

This summer we are offering:
- Private 1:1 swimming lessons
- Mobile Lessons (June Only)
- Synchro lessons
- Endurance/ stroke development
All of our lessons are taught in our backyard pool!

Our Instructors
Bri
Bri Wodehouse is a certified swim instructor, lifeguard, and synchronized swimming coach. As a national synchronized swimmer for over 10 years, Bri developed an extensive knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques in the water. Bri’s many years of experience as a swim instructor have allowed her to develop a unique teaching approach, effective communication skills, and the ability to react rapidly in any situation. Bri also has experience and success working with special needs children. With the combination of advanced knowledge of swim techniques and a unique teaching method, Bri creates a fun environment where every student can both learn to swim and love the water!

Brook
Brook Wodehouse is a certified swim instructor and National Lifeguard. Brook has spent most of her life in the pool, competing for over 8 years as a synchronized swimmer, before switching to speed swimming in high school where she won numerous OFSAA gold, silver and bronze medals in breaststroke, and IM events. Brook stays close to the water where she now competes nationally and internationally as
a sprint kayaker. Brook has over 5 years of experience teaching swimming to children of all ages, adults and children with special needs. Her extensive knowledge of stroke technique from her swimming background has allowed her to develop unique methods of swim instruction which children can easily grasp and implement.

Alex
Alex Docherty is a certified swim instructor with over 5 years of experience working with children. Alex’s enthusiasm and communication skills create an environment where swimming can be fun and taught effectively. Alex has experience teaching all ages and skill levels, successfully working with children with special needs. Alex is familiar with various swimming programs having taught in multiple municipalities. Her extensive training, knowledge, and enthusiasm create an environment for students to improve and enjoy swimming safely!

MISSION
Bri's Swim Academy strives to bring engaging, accessible and affordable swim education and instruction to the entire community. Our unique teaching techniques and methods allow us to create individualized lesson plans that cater to the needs of each swimmer. We are determined to help each child conquer their fears, improve their weaknesses, enhance their strengths, and build long lasting confidence in the water. We invite you to explore our fun and engaging programs this summer!
MAKE UP LESSON POLICY
Swimming lessons will be held rain or shine, but will not be held in the event of thunder or lightening. Make up lessons will be scheduled on Fridays. If you are unavailable, please arrange an alternative date and time with your instructor. By registering your child you are committing to 4 classes at your allotted time slot, please understand that we may not be able to accommodate a missed class, or cancelled class. There will be no refund for missed classes.
OUR POOL
We have an outdoor chlorine pool that is always heated to 85° F. It is 20ft by 42ft (approx. 12.8 m), and has both a shallow end and a deep end. We also have a shaded seating area for parents, and an outdoor change tent.
