Bri's Swim Academy is a private backyard swim school located in Aurora, ON. We offer swim instruction every summer from the end of June to the end of August.
This summer we are offering:
- Swimming lessons
- Mobile lessons (in your pool)
- Synchro lessons
- Bronze Star course
With the exception of Mobile Lessons (where we come to your home), all of our lessons are taught in our backyard pool.
Our online booking system allows for fast and easy registration! Simply choose a program (Swim Lessons, Bronze Star Course, Mobile Lessons), choose your session, complete the registration, and pay online!
Bri Wodehouse is a certified swim instructor, lifeguard, and synchronized swimming coach. As a national synchronized swimmer for over 10 years, Bri has developed an extensive knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques in the water. Bri’s many years of experience as a swim instructor have allowed her to develop a unique teaching approach, effective communication skills, and the ability to react rapidly in any situation. Bri also has experience and success working with special needs children. With the combination of advanced knowledge of swim techniques and a unique teaching method, Bri creates a fun environment where every student can both learn to swim and love the water!

Hannah Legros is a certified swim instructor and lifeguard. Being a provincial level competitive swimmer for more than 8 years, Hannah has substantial experience and knowledge of numerous swim strokes and techniques in the water. Between her years as a swimmer and her experience with instructing, she has developed strong communication skills, perseverance, discipline and can react quickly under pressure. Hannah creates a space for swimmers to learn to swim and build confidence in the water, and aims to bring both enthusiasm and enjoyment to every lesson.
Alex Docherty is a certified swim instructor with over 5 years of experience working with children. Alex’s enthusiasm and communication skills create an environment where swimming can be fun and taught effectively. Alex has experience teaching all ages and skill levels, successfully working with children with special needs. Alex is familiar with various swimming programs having taught in multiple municipalities. Her extensive training, knowledge, and enthusiasm create an environment for students to improve and enjoy swimming safely!

Bri's Swim Academy strives to bring engaging, accessible and affordable swim education and instruction to the entire community. Our unique teaching techniques and methods allow us to create individualized lesson plans that cater to the needs of each swimmer. We are determined to help each child conquer their fears, improve their weaknesses, enhance their strengths, and build long lasting confidence in the water. MAKE UP LESSON POLICY
Swimming lessons will be held rain or shine, but will not be held in the event of thunder or lightening. Make up lessons will be scheduled during the last week of August. If you are unavailable during this week, please arrange an alternative date and time with your instructor. By registering your child you are committing to 5 classes at your allotted time slot, please understand that we may not be able to accommodate a missed class, or cancelled class. There will be no refund for missed classes.
We have an outdoor chlorine pool that is always heated to 85° F. It is 20ft by 42ft (approx. 12.8 m), and has both a shallow end and a deep end. We also have a shaded seating area for parents, and an outdoor change tent.
